Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous, and welcome to today's episode of Soul Why - Secrets of the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint. I'm your host, Genecia Alluora. Welcome to the Q and A segment. I will say questions that have been coming in through the link. shor.by/ask. It's been coming in. So I just want to say thank you for your questions. I absolutely love them. So it's kind of like ask Genecia kind of thing. So one of the questions that came in is by Alicia. Okay, so Alicia asked about what and how can I do LinkedIn marketing? How can I get more leads in LinkedIn marketing?

Genecia Alluora: So I just want to share very fundamental ways that can help you in your LinkedIn. I think first and foremost, you need to have a good profile picture. Now, your definition of your good profile picture is not a selfie photo. It needs to be something that is attention grabbing, that you look professional. Also, do take note that whatever you post on your social, on your profile, image of your LinkedIn, try to do the same thing across all social media profiles. Because it will look more professional and even on your website, everywhere else will look professional and when people find you familiar, the chances of people trusting you will be so much higher. The second part of the LinkedIn you need to be looking at is the banner or what we call the cover image. That in itself you can go to Canva, C-A-N-V-A, canva.com is free for you to use. Go and look for LinkedIn size, LinkedIn banner size, and then go do up the design. So what should you put in a design? Don't put a generic design. Don't put a generic design like a cloud or a sky.

Genecia Alluora: Put something like a worthy coat, I would say. Or if you are an author, a coach consultant, you could put images of where you have spoken at, images of you on stage, image of your book or image of your podcast. That in itself will help you to boost your eyeballs when people search you or they land on your LinkedIn profile. You will be able to get people to say yes to you and even send in inquiries. I have a lot of clients coming from LinkedIn because of the way I've designed my profile. There are a few pieces that are evergreen and these are the few things that I'm sharing with you right now. The other one is your name. Now the trick about the name is that you don't just put your name. So a lot of times they will tell you to put your name like just your Genecia Alluora and then maybe your Chinese name or something else that you are doing.

Genecia Alluora: I will put a name, a title on your name part as well. So that in itself is not the title area. This is where I'm talking about your first name and last name. LinkedIn do have extra places for you to put in extra pieces of your name into the characters space allowance in the LinkedIn area. So in your name part you can add in more words. So for me, I put in Genecia Alluora, I put in my Chinese name. And I put in Soul Rich Woman Southeast Asia Leading Entrepreneur Network and that's what I put in the name field of my LinkedIn profile. At the point of recording, this is what I've written. But depending on the season you are listening into, I could maybe have changed it depending on the season that I'm in terms of my marketing as well. Okay? And then the other segment is what we call the title part.

Genecia Alluora: And then the other segment is what we call the title part. You can put in what you want people to know you, what you want people to see you doing. So I put founder of Soul Rich Woman Connecting 200,000 women in the region, podcast host to listeners in how many countries, Keynote Speaker Contributor, Author, Miss Singapore. But this is the area that you need to really think through the first three to 7 seconds. How are people going to view you? How are people going to look at you to decide whether to connect with you or not? I've got people from MNCs connecting with me, asking me to speak in their corporate organizations because of my profile. Even though I'm not actively promoting myself as a speaker. But I do get invitation to conferences to go to events and even corporate organizations to speak about how to be authentic online.

Genecia Alluora: How do you present yourself, how do you do public speaking and things like that. And it's all because of that here's a hack for you secret. When you edit your title, the characters on the desktop is less than when you use a mobile phone, which means to say after you set up the skeleton, you have done everything I've asked you to do from your cover from the profile to everything else. You use your mobile phone and go to LinkedIn on the app and then edit your title, edit your title. You can add in a lot more characters. You can add in a lot more characters than just whatever that's presented to you on the desktop. So on desktop, you can only add limited characters but if you do use your mobile phone, you can actually add more words and characters into the title segment.

Genecia Alluora: And then the later part will be the about section. Okay. The about section of your LinkedIn is also important. Really succinctly put in who you are, what you are good at, and what you're available for. Which means to say either you are a speaker or you are a coach or consultant, what are you good at? So write in your profile and then later on put in your titles, if any, and what other things that you are available for, like speaking engagements, et cetera. So the about section is also important. Last but not least is your featured segment. Now, featured segment, I usually put testimonials. And I highly recommend you put some of your past works or your testimonials to allow people to connect with you so that they will want to know you and kind of at least be able to make a connection with you or follow you on LinkedIn.

Genecia Alluora: Of course, the other parts, like what are the last ten post? The last ten post or last 15 post that you have written on LinkedIn? People will usually scroll through what posts you have written. And if you have no post at all, I suggest you get cracking and get started. Post something, talk about the things that you believe in, what you stand for, at least for the 10-15 posts, because people do look through what you've been posting. Even if there's no likes, even if there's no shares, so be it. Because if you're just starting out, you're doing your marketing right now, we all start from zero. Okay? So it's all right to have no likes, no shares at the beginning, you just want to make sure that when people land on your LinkedIn profile, you are credible. You build that no like trust score. Within a three to 7 seconds when they land on your profile.

Genecia Alluora: And that's really, really very important. All right, so these are the few key elements that you need to be watching on your LinkedIn profile. And of course, the rest of the things that you need to update your resume, the skills and endorsements, whether there are recommendations given to you or not. All these things are crucial because as we go along, you need to update. And that's when people will dive deeper into your profile and explore who you are before they want to talk to you. Especially now online networking is getting more and more common. People want to research about you even before they start.
