Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous, and welcome to Soul Whyy Secrets of the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint. I'm your host, Genecia Alluora. Today, I want to share with you on this episode what I've learned as a miss Singapore back in those days. Yes, what I learned and how did I permutate this into something bigger than myself and being able to help clients around the world. So if you know my story I didn't really know how to groom myself. I didn't know how to do public speaking. I didn't know how to present my platform. I didn't know how to do my branding. I didn't know how to even position myself. I was a complete mess and complete, utter disaster and not successful. Not knowing my path and my direction and moving forward, I found a mentor, I found a coach who guide me through. And I was able to eventually win Miss Singapore universe in 2006. I was a runner up and then winning Miss Singapore international up in 2006 and representing Singapore in Japan.

Genecia Alluora: And then winning Miss Singapore again in 2011, representing Singapore in Kuala Lumpur in the Miss Singapore Chinese Cosmos, or what you call the Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant. And that really transformed my life because it gave me, who has no confidence, no knowledge about branding, positioning, talking about the platform, presenting myself. I've never thought about having all these knowledge. And by working towards that goal, because my friends who believed in me, whom I couldn't see my potential and they told me, they said, Genecia, you've got potential. Why don't you go and join? And they were the ones who enrolled me into the Miss Singapore pageant. And it changed my life. So I want to share with you the lessons I learned in the beauty pageant and how did I translate these skill sets even years moving forward, working with celebrities, politicians, ministers, C suites like the CEOs of companies. How did I translate this skill set into money making machine?

Genecia Alluora: Are you interested? I love that. So the first thing I did was I really learned how to position myself, because you need to know how to position yourself on an international platform. So it's not just about speaking on the local stage. Yes. Back in my year, in 2006, Miss Singapore Universe was televised on Channel Five in Media Corp, which is a local TV station, where it was transmitted outwards to millions of viewers in Singapore. And to me, that was a very big thing, because we were not given the questions beforehand. I'm not sure about the beauty pageants now, but my days, the questions were not given to us. There was no way that someone's going to give us 20 questions and preempt us any question that was going to be asked. So my time, I didn't have that. So I needed to be trained in being able to speak my mind without any preempt or whatsoever. That means not knowing what's ahead. You must be able to speak and share your thoughts eloquently and succinctly and precisely.

Genecia Alluora: So that was something that I learned and I picked up. Second thing when I represent myself, Singapore on the international stage in Japan and also in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that really gave me an insight on being consistent in the things you say. Whether you're on stage, you're off stage in the makeup room or in the changing room, or with the sponsors or at the different events, you must have a way to present yourself that you're consistent. You cannot be split personality in different platforms or at different events. You have to position yourself and be seen, whatever that you want, be seen and be clear and consistent, because that establish trust and that establishes connection. And one of the results that I got even up to today, I'm still friends with all my girlfriends from Miss International, Miss Aruba. They're still my friend. She's still my friend. Miss Hong Kong. I still visit her whenever I visit Hong Kong. And then, you know, miss Vietnam. I'm still in touch with all these girlfriends even up to today, miss Japan.

Genecia Alluora: Why? Because we connected. And people look at you, hey, it's beyond just the stage play and the stitch persona, right? It's also being offline and online. How do you be authentic in the space of being who you are. And that is something that you need to master as an individual, being authentic. And that brings me to my third point, being authentic. So presenting yourself consistently is key. Then the next part is being authentic, right? The things you say, and of course, being able to consistently share your platform and be who you say you are. Right? Not just because it's a beauty pageant competition. You are one person, and then after the beauty pageant competition, you're another person. So that's the difference between the different personas I'm talking about. You get adrift. So the three things I learned, I applied it in my business when I was doing consultancy work with ministers, with politicians, with decision makers and C suites. I coach them.

Genecia Alluora: So I talk about a lot about charisma, coaching and image consultancy. But I don't really do the basic colors. Like what you wear? Yeah, I do look into that, but I look into the overall of the body language. How do you present yourself to look trustworthy on screen? So my services that I provide to my clients mainly focuses on media. How do you present yourself on radio, on TV, in magazines, in any interviews around the world? So that's why I was being paid to travel to to where did I go to. I've been to Paris, I've been to Germany, I've been to Brunei, so many different countries, because of my skill set of Miss Singapore. So people yes, do say that. Yes, Miss Singapore. Well, that's another topic, another day. But the Miss Singapore title is good. But what exactly did I do that translate that into a money making machine that pays the bills. Right? You want to be able to pay your bills, isn't it?

Genecia Alluora: So I translated all this into a specialty, a niche, something that no image consultants are really doing. They're just doing image consultancy. Like, anybody who walks through the doll, they will just do, like, colors and body and nurses, and that's what we are trained to do in the certification. But I took two steps, five steps further, and because of that, I found my niche, and I was able to charge premium prices for these services. And get flown all around the world. Back in those days, I wasn't thinking I wanted to be a speaker. I just wanted to be behind the scenes and supporting my clients, and I was rewarded handsomely. So my lessons learned, really, is to know that whatever skills that you've picked up along the way, they belong to you. And how do you turn all these experiences, your expertise, into a package that is truly uniquely you own.

Genecia Alluora: What you have a title of a Miss Singapore, a Mrs. Singapore, an instant podcast leader. Whatever title you have. The title is just what we call the makeup that you put on, the clothes that you wear, that packaging that it gives you. But what is important is how you package all your skill set so that you own your own niche. You are different from someone else, that you will never be the same person as the other person, even though you have the same certification as the other person. Yeah, okay, you can have the same certifications, but you are completely different and a unique individual because you have your own experiences. So I'm very, very excited that I was able to translate that into premium clients that pays my bills. Yes. And then translating all this skill set into my cafe retail chain business.I was in charge of PR and marketing. So I continued to hone my skill set. And then we grew to three countries singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, 18 franchisees and licensees. And after four years, we exited to a public listed company owner.

Genecia Alluora: Then using and honing my skill set further, I use it in Soul Rich Woman and I turn it into a blueprint. I turn it into a process where anybody, any woman in any business, whether you are employee, a stay at home mom, a ten year stay at home mom, 14 year stay at home mom, or an ambitious business owner, female entrepreneur at any level can use this blueprint. Duplicate exactly what I do. In your own way. I provide that framework that has successfully helped me in my own business, transform my life, get clients easily. Now, I can translate all these and give it to the other women like you so that you can shine, so that you can do it easier, so that you can shortcut. And that is what so, so excited about.

Genecia Alluora: I truly believe that when a woman changes her life her entire community benefit and I never regretted joining Miss Singapore even though I have to work very hard to prove myself along the way be but this journey has given me so much exposure, experience and skill set that money cannot buy that you will not learn in a certification. That you will not learn in a textbook. All these were accumulative. And now, as I get older and wiser, I have decided to make it into an online program, duplicate it into a framework to allow a framework a blueprint called the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint.
