Genecia Alluora: Hey, and welcome to today's episode. I want to know, are you a woman leader who is successful but for some reason you are feeling stuck? Now, I enjoy this topic a lot because a lot of women do come to me asking for help to get from stuck to unstoppable because lacking in clarity and direction kind of blocked them towards going towards the next step. So today I want to share with you how I helped a 9 to 5 employee to turn her mess into her message. So this lady came to me. She is an owner of a fitness studio and she was also working 9 to 5. So that fitness studio was a side hustle. So being a 9 to 5 employee, she had to work from 5:05 a.m. in the morning, get up five from 5 a.m. and then, you know, finishing work at about only 6 p.m. so it was already a very long day and she still need to work on her business. So her whole branding and her whole positioning on social media was really stuck because already she don't enjoy doing the 9 to 5. And she wasn't able to grow her business. So it's kind of like both sides is really not going anywhere. So she came to me asking me for help to look into her business.

Genecia Alluora: So of course she did a coaching call with me for 45 minutes, which is a clarity call. And then later on eventually enrolling into the mentorship program. So during this time, immediately the first action that we took to look into her whole social media piece, when I went to her Facebook, her LinkedIn, her Instagram, she was all over the place. Three problems I discovered. First, she was a schizophrenia. I mean, literally it means that, you know, she was split personality online, whether it's on LinkedIn or Facebook or Instagram. She was like having different personalities and different versions of her because she owns a boutique studio. She has more than 20 different certifications as an instructor in different programs like Zumba, aerobics. She was also in what polarizing and different different, different type of programs. So she was lost in a way to present herself. On top of that, she was a double degree holder in Singapore. Double degree is a huge thing like accountancy and in NCCA. So that's very high level women. Who is intellectual, who is a woman leader in the corporate organization, a senior management accountant in the organization. And then, you know, stuck and thinking, oh no, how can I grow my business?

Genecia Alluora: So by first strategizing, her social media was one of the key things that we did. First we identified the problem of she had split personality. Two, she was not clear on which theme that she should embark on the means. You know, whether she should show herself as a 9 to 5 employee, or to show herself as a different instructor, or to show herself as whatever that she thought that she was. The problem number three was that she actually have a story to tell. In fact, she was 80 kilos overweight. I mean, she was overweight and she was at 80 kilos and she dropped to 20 kilos down to 60. And she was, you know, keeping fit and with this weight loss story of hers helped her to build her confidence as well as a woman. So you see, there are three pieces in this problem that we picked up. And these three problems and the way we solve it was looking first at her social media. How did we unravel each of the problems to turn each of the mass into a message? Turn off the all this messiness into a message. First and foremost, we help her to tell a story, which was how she lost weight 20 kilos and become a confident woman that she was previously with low self esteem wasn't able to, you know, move up the corporate ladder. But upon losing weight and becoming more confident, she jumped two ranks in the corporate world and doubling or tripling her income at a very short time.

Genecia Alluora: So this was a story that we told on her social media to attract people to her and potential customers to her who would desire to join her fitness studio, to, you know, do weight loss, or to be slim or to be fit and then the other problem that we solved for her was that she was able to really structure her themes into a common theme. So she's now a senior management accountant in a shipping line with a double degree. And with NCCA and accountant, plus turning it into the third part, which is a studio owner. So instead of putting all the certifications one by one, I'm a Zumba, I'm this, I'm aerobics And that we made it into a common theme. What did she believe in? She believe in helping people to be happy, sweat, have fun and really make friendships. Okay at her place, at her studio. So we had to draw out a common theme across all social media so that she do not have to choose one or the other. The last thing that we did was to structure the postings for her, so that when she post on social media, what are the common angles that she need to anchor on in order to be seen as an expert or the leading number one boutique studio for women who would like to slim down, who would like to get fit, but not in the places of a big gym, but more of, you know, being who they are and still don't need to be stressed about what you wear to the studio. You can be who you are and then, you know, coming in to make friends, have fun, and have a sweat on the mat.

Genecia Alluora: So after we resolve these three problems and turning all these mess into a message, when she relaunched her business in 2015, she brought in 1000 leads in 14 days, earning $23,000 in seven days, turning her customers pool from just 100 in just back in those days to today in 2020, she has 9000 customers.
