Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous. Welcome to Soul Why, Secrets of the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint. Today I want to talk about build a brand that is yours. Now, this is interesting because when I talk about building your own brand, people will think I need $1 million to start. I will need half $1 million to start my own brand. Well, definitely you need some form of investment, but it's investing in yourself, right? If you invest in yourself right on at this moment. Okay. Later on, that money will come back for you. The greatest thing I see about, you know, when I share with women about building their own brand, the biggest limiting belief that I always face the huge, hairy monster is what if I fail? I do this. What if I fail? And I also get I also get people telling me that, you know, I invest my own brand. What if I didn't take What if it didn't take off? What if nobody buys? What if nobody listened? What if this. What if that we are called the what if queens, you know, the what if Queens. Right?

Genecia Alluora: And then they will think so far ahead and then they will shelf the entire idea. They will shelf the entire thing and they will not do anything about it. And even if they do something about it is just bits and drips of it a little bit here and there and that that's about it. And it will become the white elephant on the shelf. Because tomorrow never comes. Okay. I can't really sing. But anyway, yes, tomorrow never comes for them. Because for them, when they say build your own brand, they get stuck. So come back to the point here. Build your brand. Why? Let me share with you why it's important to build your own brand. First and foremost is recession proof. A lot of people take many other brands. I'm not saying you can't. You can. Okay. I've seen other women who are successful taking other people's brands to sell the products or services. Fine. No problem. What if the company closed down? Right. But building your own brand has a lasting effect.

Genecia Alluora: It allows you to be your own brand that carries the brand under your brand. In case you missed it, rewind this. Which means now that you build your own brand. Okay, so I run an e-commerce business as well that I don't really talk about it because I do this at the back end. That means I do this on the background of my business of Soul Rich Woman. So Soul Rich Woman is something that I forefront marketing and doing stuff, but my e-commerce arm is, is something that I don't really put on the front. So but it's still it is running. It is another arm of income that I'm doing. So this this e-commerce is called Alluora, which just carried under my name, Alluora. And what we do is we build our own brand. We build our own brand story. We build our own messaging, and then we carry other people's products. We carry, you know, different things under our brand. We even sell masks. We sell masks, hand sanitizers. I mean, that's during this Covid season, right? Covid 19. But other than that, I'm doing mainly beauty products, skincare products and, you know, high soaps, things that are good for eczema and, you know, to help people to lead a healthier life and being more beautiful as well.

Genecia Alluora: So by building a main parent brand allows you to do whatever you want after that. That means whatever you want to excuse me, carry it with you under your brand, that's possible. So let me contrast it to a recent case study that I saw that was not successful. She is holding a network marketing company brand. Okay. And she's fully marketing on social media using this brand. And when people search now that everybody is forced to go online. Okay. No longer offline networking events. I mean, but it also depends on which season you listen to this episode. So she had no more opportunity to do offline events because of Covid 19. And she is holding a network marketing company brand. When I do a research about her before I even start the coaching session one session. So she signed up for one session, I saw that there were hundreds and hundreds of pages using the exact same network marketing brand on social media. And I'm like, okay, so which one is exactly hers? Which page is exactly hers? I don't know which page is exactly hers.

Genecia Alluora: So it was only during the time of coaching that she finally revealed which page was hers. And I was like, okay, this is absolutely wrong because people can't find you, especially now when you have no offline leverage. Everything is online. You don't have a digital footprint. Your name is unknown. When I put your name into Google, I can't find you. Who are you? Why should I trust you? People online are skeptical about brands and people and the things they buy. They rely on reviews, social proof, and consistency of your content, whether you are credible, whether you're seen as a leader in the online space. So this client had no absolutely no brand of hers. And when I visited her personal profile, oh my God, still zero negligible, her personal profile was just posting random stuff. No form of credibility. So if your profiles, your online profiles are your online name cards, how would you do it differently than just posting random things and not update your house? Imagine you have a house that is full of cobwebs. Spiders. Rats. Cockroaches.

Genecia Alluora: Would people love to come and enter in your house or home? The answer is no. So if you want to have a home online, you have to build your own home. If that makes sense to you, build a brand equals to building your own home and you need to decorate your home and made your home look really cozy and beautiful and to your personality to whom you are speaking to, to welcome your guests so that they feel at home online. And that is why it's important to build your brand online. So are you building a house that everyone that your potential customers, when they see your house, they will want to enter into this beautiful home of yours and enjoy themselves there online. And because of that comfort. And then along the way, they see your content, they see that you're posting consistently, you have momentum, you are seen as a leader. That's when they give you the business, they buy from you and they will not choose the other one holding the same exact same market, same brand as you, and thinking I can just choose anybody now and not choose you. So what option would you give your potential customers? Do you want them to swim to other people because you're promoting another brand, or do you want to promote your own brand?

Genecia Alluora: Like I said, there are many different schools of thoughts, but I just want you to be open to my suggestion, be even open to think about this context. You see, I set the context to this whole episode. I want to search this brand now online. I find hundreds of pages. And when I when you tell me, Oh, this is me, this is you, I put your name into Google, I put your name into Facebook on different social media platforms, and I see a house that is empty, this full of cobwebs, rats, cockroaches and spiders. Absolutely no trust. So what are you doing today to build up your home? Build up a house with a home that allows people to come in and while be feeling cozy, build trust. They know they like you, they trust you. And because of that, eventually you can convert them from raving fans into customers, followers into clients. Think about that. All right.
