Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous. Welcome to Soul Why Secrets of the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint. I'm your host, Genecia Alluor. Today I want to talk about. Live streaming. And why live streaming was one of the key things that help grow my business since 2012 2013. I was saying it's webinars and live stream that goes hand in hand that allow me to build successfully the business to go from offline to online. And I want to share with you a couple of mindset and strategies that is encompassed in this very successful strategy. Okay? I think the first thing first is when I decided to go from offline to online, I didn't think that live streaming was the key. In fact, doing weekly webinars I did every single Wednesday. It was called webinar Wednesday, every single Wednesday. I was there for my audience live at 9 p.m., whether I was in Singapore and Malaysia, in Bali, no matter where I was, I had to turn on my cam, get an internet connection and be there, and that built me my first million dollars in 2013.

Genecia Alluora: Unbelievable, isn't it? You mean Genecia, just by doing webinars can make $1 million? Well, it's part of a strategy. It's not all that it is. Don't misunderstand me. It's just part of the strategy that by being there for them and with them for one entire year. Yes you hear me right? 52 weeks straight on wind, rain or shine, I'm there. And because of that, we build trust. And because of that, we had sales. And because of that, we turn raving fans into clients. Followers into customers. And then live stream came along. And that's when we continue to establish our online presence, our online reputation. I didn't stop at one episode. In fact, I was so inspired by Gary Vaynerchuk. He inspired me with his story about his wine library and how he did 1000 episodes or 100 episodes in his YouTube channel that nobody watches even before he became famous now. And looking back, he talks a lot about consistency. And back in a time when I saw Garyvee in 2017 and personally sat down with him and interviewed him, I just felt that authenticity, that energy. And one of the reasons why he granted the interview and that I was allowed to spend time with him was because I showed him my result.

Genecia Alluora: I told him I was inspired by him, and because of that, I went on to do to date 3000 episodes of FB Live. Whether is it my Facebook Live? Is it a Periscope Live? Previously it was, there were many other live streaming platforms that was I was on and dabbling on. And then later on now there's Instagram live. You know, there's so many live stream platforms, there's countless. But back in 2017, it was not like that. And I did a video and I shared with him and I wrote an email to him and that was how he said yes. And he granted me the opportunity to meet him for in Hong Kong. And I was at Rice, Hong Kong and ya and I was on the same stage as him and was really glad that I was able to eventually get backstage, really one on one personal time with him. Now, this is a story of how livestream and doing webinars have transformed my entire business, especially from a viewpoint in Asia, in Southeast Asia, and also having done offline businesses like a cafe retail chain, running image consultancy business, you know, where I had to go into companies to do trainings, trading time for money for hours, eight hours, and you just slogging your hours away.

Genecia Alluora: I mean, if you are happy doing what you love, I mean, that's fine. But for me, I wasn't happy. And I want to be different. I want to be seen as a leader. I no longer want to be, you know, where I was because I spotted a trend back in 2015 that online is the future. I do so many businesses that is leading to that. I did mobile apps, we did online printing, we did online t shirt business, you know, like Dropshipping. So many things I've tried, believe it or not. Okay. So coming back to the story and live streaming allowed Soul Rich Woman to grow beyond seven countries. So we've gone from Southeast Asia to Asia and now reaching an even wider audience, especially now with podcasting. So live stream is just part of a strategy. So what if? So I always get a few questions. First question is always, Genecia I'm not you. Because you are beautiful, you are pretty, you know? So that's always the first first thing, right? But I want to tell you that that this is bullshit. I also grow old over time and I just turn on the cam and just do it. The only difference between me and you is how consistent we are in getting our message out there.

Genecia Alluora: So stop giving yourself excuses about, oh, you know, you are beautiful. You look good. I'm no, I'm not. No. Like dressed sexily. No, I'm dressed professionally and I present my ideas and my thoughts. And I was consistent, super consistent. When I did a webinar when nobody was doing nobody was watching. At the beginning, my friend, I had zero viewers, zero followers, zero listeners or, you know, people coming to my webinar. And only until I mastered the F-word, which was funnels, Facebook ads and of course, freaking action. Only then that viewers started to come in, you know. People started to watch my webinar and that's when the audience grew from the 0 to 100 to 1000. And that's how Soul Rich Woman grew to where we are today. Success is not overnight, my friend. Second thin that the question I always get is I'm shy. I'm an introvert. I don't want to do live stream like you did. To be frank, I totally get you in Soul Rich Woman we have been advocating live streaming. Oh, my God. You can't believe it. Since 2015, advocacy is really literally telling everybody, the leadership team, the leaders, you know, all the women in the community, Hey, you must do live streaming. But none of them, or maybe some of them did. But after a year, they all drop out because when I did a deeper investigation. All of them said, I'm too fat, I'm too ugly. You know, I've got friends say that I'm too round on screen. I don't look good on screen. I don't know why Asians we have such, you know, and such selves that we are so critical about who we are.

Genecia Alluora: So I want to encourage you to try live streaming. Give it a go. Even if you say you don't want, I will just kick your ass and say, Just try. If you are afraid to do it alone, do it with a group. Do your friends. Why can't you do it with your friends? And that is why, like for me, I do it on my own. And then I've got two other mentees they're mentoring right now. One is a 9 to 5 employee transitioning in. She is a APEC, MNC regional leader, HR talent director, you know, quit her job eight months ago and then now joins Soul Rich Woman. So I'm grooming her as my mentee. She took on my mentorship and then I'm guiding her and she is not used to doing FB live or doing live streaming, needless to say. And I got her with me on the show and it's every single week, Mondays and Wednesdays at 3 p.m. So when you are consistent, do it. If you can't do it alone, find someone to do it with you consistently and show up and don't just do after two weeks and think, Oh, nobody's watching and bye. Where do you think all those people come from? So really, truly, my friend. Start doing, quit thinking.
