Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous. Welcome to today's episode. Soul Why Secrets of the Soul Rich Woman blueprint? I'm your host, Genecia Alluora. Good to see you here today. And I'm so glad that I have gone through multiple business opportunities that I've personally built over the years. A cafe retail chain in three countries Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia. And 18 franchisees and licensees across the region. After four years, we exited to a public listed company owner and now running Soul Rich Woman, a business that is truly online, showing our leadership online, supporting 1 million women to own and love the F-word, being fabulous, having freedom, financial independence and family. Now, the three key differences running both retail business and a business that's online. To be very frank, the one thing that I don't see a real difference is building teams, because being a cafe retail chain owner and a platform owner, I can't do without my teams.

Genecia Alluora: I can't, I can't function alone because this is the time where. I need to function in my own zone of genius and my teams support me to grow the business together as one. So one of the key similarities I see as teams. So what is the real difference between an offline business and an online business, Genecia? Well, the key difference is, of course, rental. You have the overheads of a manpower locally in that country. You have that country loss of employment and many other factors of costing of goods and expiry of items within the cafe itself. Versus online. Well, we have software that we are expanding on. We still have manpower. We also have. I don't really see expiry of goods, but because I also run an e-commerce arm as well that is called Alluora that sells beauty products, skincare products and many other things as well. I realized that doing service based and product based for online has also slight differences. But the main thing here is the offline costing is way much more expensive than an online costing.

Genecia Alluora: So no difference between I would say teams difference would be, you know, the costing offline is more expensive to set up a cafe chain, a cafe outlet. My friend, we spent $350,000 Singapore dollars and depends on where you are at because it includes renovation equipment and so many other things that is also involved. So we spent a couple of millions of dollars setting up a cafe retail chain and of course, selling franchise and licenses to franchisees and licensees around the region. And that's how we continue to grow. So having expensed $350,000 for a cafe outlet one does not guarantee you making money immediately. Right? So when you set up a business that's online, the key difference is you don't have to expense $350,000 to do one outlet. There is no costing renovation cost and everything. Maybe your renovation of your own home studio or office studio, that's about it. But will you expense $350,000? 350,000? The answer is no.

Genecia Alluora: So that is the key difference I see and and that is why I truly appreciate bringing business online and helping people like yourself to bring business online and truly experience it myself. One thing that is also that is not different. So now I'm talking about the same, not the same and the same again. One thing that I can see that is still very similar doing offline and online. Is I mean, other than just the costings and stuff like that, is marketing and sales funny, isn't it? Because when I was running the cafe retail chain, we were doing a lot of exhibitions where one exhibition we will expense like $50,000, $20,000. And then we, we do exhibitions in Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia. We go different countries to run exhibitions. And these are marketing costs. And do we still do online marketing? Yes. I was in charge of the online marketing. I was in charge of PR public relations as well, you know, getting media to interview us, our CEO and, you know, doing the work that needs to be done.

Genecia Alluora: So, yes, marketing is still important offline if you're doing offline business and for online, even right now, I'm looking at it, I'm laughing because not much difference you still need to do marketing. And as I run Soul Rich Woman since 2015, I rebranded Soul Rich Woman 2015 to be exact. In fact, I started Soul Rich Woman in 2014 and doing this business online, serving women in Southeast Asia, in Asia, and then around the world. I realized that the key success that I'm having and the similarity that I'm seeing right now with my cafe retail chain business, I do a heck lot of marketing really a lot. And this is key. And when I see business owners looking at their business, whether it's offline or online, and then when I look at the forms that they fill up because, you know, when they run workshops, live stream workshops and online masterclasses, we have to get to know them better. They always tell me, I see the box of the question and says, Do you have marketing budget or marketing funds set aside for Facebook ads? Hiring staff? And. Blah, blah, blah.

Genecia Alluora: And the answer is always no. And I'm wondering, where's the money? Really? I'm wondering, where's the money? Because how can a business owner do business without marketing? I have successfully exited a cafe retail chain. After four years to a publicly listed company owner, I have successfully built a platform, a network of women for Southeast Asia and Asia, and now reaching out to the worldwide audience. You tell me Marketing is not important. And oh, I just tried Facebook ads. No results just after two weeks. Oh, no, no results. So it doesn't work for me. Marketing is not for me. Is that right? To be successful in the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint, To be a Soul Rich Woman, you first must have the rich attitude, the mindset of wealth, the mindset of abundance. Then you can attract good people.

Genecia Alluora: And set up your marketing process to continue to grow your business. So, yes. Marketing is the same, so do a recap. Difference is the key difference I see between retail and online literally is the costings. And then number two, you know the expense, right? And then, you know, two, the the dissimilarities, in fact, marketing is really similar because the way we grew our cafe retail chain to get franchisees and licensees were all through marketing. It was not word of mouth. Hello, You know, there's this cafe retail chain. No, no, no. It was online and it was exhibitions as well, offline, both offline and online marketing, right? So these are the few things that I see. And that's why I'm here to explain to you and share with you why is key and important to recognise that offline and online have some differences and yet not that much differences.
