Genecia Alluora: Hello and welcome to today's episode. I'm Genecia Alluora. Thank you for joining me today. I want to share with you on how we hire people and how we communicate with our team because we talk about delegating 80% of your to do list. The main question is, you know, how do we hire and what is the selection criteria and eventually how do you grow them, right? I think the first thing first is we must get this philosophy correct. Okay. First and foremost, you must love your people first. Love your people first. I think that's the value I bring to my culture of Soul Rich Woman and even in my previous businesses in 2013, we love our people first. Yes, profits are important. Yes, it's important to get to the revenue that we want the profits, the revenue, the sales figure, whatever that may be. And however it looks like to you, love your people first, Love our people first. Why? Because if you love your people first. Okay. While balancing your profits and your PNL. Okay. If you love your people first, your people will work hard for you and with you. And this is important.

Genecia Alluora: The first thing when we hire people and of course, when you are hiring, we must also do a good interview. Right? What do you mean by good interview? You must see, what do you value? So there's always a few questions that I always ask in all my interviews. Right? And, you know, like, why do they become a virtual assistant? Why do they become a VA? How can you help me to be successful? What is your dream? All these simple little questions will show me what kind of person is he or she like? Like, I will never hire a person who talks to me about salary first. That's for sure. Because if this person comes in to talk about money first, that means this VA comes and say, okay, I want my salary to be this amount of money. Can you hire me? Then we will not hire this person because it means that another company who hires who is able to pay better or hire this person will move and this person will be hopping. And for us, we don't want to hire people who are what we call job hoppers. We we love to we love the culture of loyalty. We love to build a trust, trust loving family, like a culture where where my Vas are not Vas like subjects, like things, but my Vas are like my family.

Genecia Alluora: And by building this culture of trust and knowing that they will work hard for me and with me, they also know that I'm with them. Take for example, Covid 19, when everyone is losing their jobs, contracts being terminated like as many of the VAs who applied to sole women during the season of this disaster. I will say crisis. You know, many people are losing jobs because of this. And Soul Rich Woman is able to keep our team pay salary on time. Helping these women to continue to feed their families and take care of their families. And that is important to me. And there are many other women who continue to apply to Soul Rich Woman, our organization, even now because they know that they have heard about us. How many of them? The VA, The team has been with us for a long time. Six years. Five years. Four years. Three years. Many of them are with us stable, secure and able to know that there is a possibility of growth because we move them to do different things in the departments. They learn different things, different skill sets. They build themselves up. So it's not one person do that same thing forever. They get to try and experiment and see where they like and see how they thrive within the certain areas in the organization.

Genecia Alluora: So loving your people first. Loving my people first has allowed me to build a team, a culture where they know that I'm there for them, and I know that I can leave them independently to run with the systems and processes that we have set in place. And this is a huge time saver that most people don't see because when I empower them, yes, they make mistakes. I mean, let's put it up front. Nobody's perfect. But when you are able to understand that you already have a system and process in place and that you have a certain culture. The team will thrive and you will thrive and your business will thrive. So knowing that when you set a culture is key to one of the greatest success in terms of running an entire virtual team virtually online, okay, none of them I have met before, I I've probably seen them online during the interviews or some of them through just through pictures and their social media. But you know what? You know, it's it's I it's how you connect with them and communicate with them, encourage them and allowing them to talk to you.

Genecia Alluora: So, I would want to share with you how I do that. So I always set house rules. I'm damn good at it. Okay. Super good at it. First ask clarifying questions. I always tell them if you don't know, don't pretend to know. Ask clarifying questions, number one. Number two, when in doubt, ask for help. Number three assumptions is the worst thing that can happen. So don't assume. Always ask for help if possible, and ask clarifying questions. Last one is always put it into the process. After let's say they discuss with me the they sort out the the flow, put it in the process for me and put it into the SOP. Because for me to run a team of 21 with my team managers and my team leads, you know, you don't have the time. I mean, you have to make time for them. But at the same time, we need to be functioning in our zone of genius. Right? That's why I said delegating 80% of your to do list so that you can function in your maximum potential possible as a business owner, as a, you know, a person who is just, you know, starting out. You know, you want to be able to function at the highest possible vibration energy potential, whatever, that that may be your passion.

Genecia Alluora: Okay. So having the SOP in place, that process in place allows me to, you know, manage my team and manage my team leads better and more, use my time more effectively. So love your people first so that they work hard for you and with you working hard together with them. Because work heart and work hard is too heart and hard. Heart and hard goes hand in hand. All right. So building a culture, therefore, is important, even in delegating 80% of your to do list. Yes, I do get angry with them sometimes. Yes. If you are listening, you know who you are. I do get angry with you sometimes, but you know, most of the time it's still pleasant. It's still good. And that's how we grow our team. So I hope you enjoyed today's episode.
