Genecia Alluora: Hey, gorgeous. Welcome to this episode. My name is Genetic Alluora. Money, mindset, energy mentor, best selling author and founder of Soul Rich Woman. I teach people to increase their luck and wealth around the word S-O-U-L, soul. Today I want to talk about the negative feedback about your prizes and how to deal with it. Now, dealing with criticism about prizes is real and it's something that you are going to hear in your business and at some point, hey, you're too expensive, you charge too high. Why is yours the five figures? Other people are charging three digits. Now, how does that feel? So painful, Genecia like a dagger to your heart. The crazy fact is that often entrepreneurs are actually under charging, not overcharging. But I mean, it can be so deflating to hear this. Maybe prospective clients phrase it differently. For example, oh, that's not what I was expecting. This one is a little bit out of my budget. Maybe not for now. Same feeling, right? So what happens when you hear this? Negative people, I mean, negative feedback about your pricing can pull you down into this rabbit hole of self doubt, kind of spiraling down into quicksand and it's never ending.

[00:03:04]
Genecia Alluora: It might lead to moodiness, depression, and even throwing your business away, literally. I've seen people throwing their business out of the window because of this pricing thing. It's absolutely going to bring up your money blocks. Stuff like, am I excluding people? Am I not good enough? I'm inadequate. Is it because it's not right for me to be rich? Can't I justify my price? Is it all right for me to price this five figure, six figures so I'm sharing some tips on getting clearer on your pricing and even how to feel good about being told that you are too expensive or you charge too high or you are premium. I heard this more at the start of my business than I hear it right now, which is one of the first clues that it often shows up when you're feeling really vulnerable. Now, there are five ways to deal with criticism about your prices. Number one, don't take it personally. Number two, have a charitable part of your business if you want to help those on a lower income. Number three, get really clear on your offering. Number four, work on your selfworth. Number five, see it as a rite of passage, like a transition to get from where you are now to where you want to be much, much faster, going from stuck to unstoppable and living your dreams.

[00:04:39]
Genecia Alluora: Let's take a look at these in more indepth. Number one, don't take it personally. Now, if you feel even a little uncertain about your product or service, about starting out in business, this criticism will hit you harder. Sometimes when you're afraid of it happening, that's when you will actually attract it the most. Now I'm just not bothered about it anymore. When I first started out, those words will completely paralyze me, and they really reduce my income a lot. The question is, what is expensive? Really, what is expensive? Who even knows, right? So let's just say that the correct pricing is a meaningless made up concept and you can just charge what you want. When someone says that you are too expensive, they mean that you are too expensive for me right now. It's just a mismatch. It's not a mistake on your part. You are not being exploitative. You are not trying to overcharge, it's not that it's about them. You trigger something in them. It's not about you. And it's honestly nothing personal at all. My philosophy is this the price is the price. Whether it's worth it to me right now or not, it's really okay to be too expensive for some people.

[00:06:08]
Genecia Alluora: It doesn't mean that you have to shift and change things, and it doesn't mean that you have to offer them a discount. The first thing to do is to really check in with yourself and see what else this is coming up or bringing up. It might be bring up the feelings of not good enough or being excluded even about yourself. Number two, have a charitable sector of your business if you want to really help those on a lower income. Some entrepreneurs mix up their philanthropy or charitable giving with their business. Now, this might show up as really wanting to help a target market because they are struggling. I would say separate it out. Perhaps 10% of your business is for people on a low income. Number three, get clear and really clear on your offering. Look at your marketing and see what or where you are not showcasing your value. Maybe you are not really being clear on the transformation that you're offering. Often it's just a mismatch of pricing. For example, how can you help people afford your offer? What would they need to sell five extra clients, five extra speaking gigs? What can you do for people so that they can easily make back that investment that will take the sting out of the you are too expensive and you've just targeted the business to the wrong person and they can't clearly see your value.

[00:07:42]
Genecia Alluora: So really get clear on your offering so that they can see your value and pay what you are worth. Number four, work on yourself. Worth. Now, if you don't feel good in your pricing, you will subattach every sales conversation, every link on your website.

[00:08:03]
Genecia Alluora: You have to work on your deserved nurse to charge your true worth without doing that inner work. It doesn't matter really. It's not about what you do or what you charge or who you're targeting your business to. You can have the best marketing and business strategy. But if you have not worked on your mindset, you're always going to feel like you are a fake or you're fraud. You'll have to work on this imposter syndrome or else your sabotages will keep coming and will sabotage your sales conversations and you'll just feel wrong about charging. So in order for you to hear you are too expensive, less often the first step is to work on your inner value. If you feel like you're not worth it, you are going to attract people who mirror that back to you no matter what you charge. If you don't believe me, think back to those times that when you have discounted, you have under charge, you have massively overdelivered and the client still wasn't happy. They are reflecting back your self worth to you. Number five, see it as a rite of passage, a transition to go from where you are now to where you want to be much, much faster.

[00:09:23]
Genecia Alluora: Go from stuck to unstoppable to leave the dreams that you truly desire. Now, being told that you are too expensive is just a business rite of passage or what I call transition phase. Now, once you've done the inner work, you'll become less attached and take it less personally. You can just say, oh, I mean that's true for you and that's where you're at. Now, this is what's true for me. I give great value. I am worth it. You got to tell yourself this, I give great value. I am worth it. It's good to let your clients know that not only you are not too expensive, you are not taking it personally. When you are ready to work with me, let me know. And just a reminder that my prices are going up in three months time. So you can tell them that and be confident with your energy. Even if you are charging a dollar, someone is going to ask you why are you not doing it for free? Even if you charge ten cents or fifty cents, people or someone is going to ask you why don't you do it pro bono? You are not required to serve everyone.

[00:02:39]
Genecia Alluora: Not everyone is an energetic match. So let's remove some of the sticky stuff around this feedback and just see as an energetic rite of passage, I really believe that this is your time and you're definitely ready for the next step. And something I want to share with you is this at the end of the day, nobody can stop you and nobody can hold you back except yourself. All right. All right gorgeous. I love you and I'll speak to you soon. Bye for now.
