Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous. Welcome to today's episode. My name is Genecia Alluora, and on this episode, I want to talk about money empowers women. Now, I was wondering the other day how much collective wealth the soul rich woman community has created pretty much out of thin air since we are doing this money work and owning the F word. Fabulous, freedom, financial independence and happy family. Honestly, I think it will be in multimillions by now, but I don't directly claim credit obviously because I like to think I play a small part by running a network like that, by having a platform for these women to own and love the F word. Either by encouraging you to raise your prices, have better money boundaries, have courage to put yourself out there, upgrade your lifestyle, and pay better attention to abundance in your life.

Genecia Alluora: And that's why I mentioned I'm really so proud of us. We are literally changing the world. We are playing a part in a huge revolution. Money empowers women. Well, there are many revolutions going on in the world at the moment around race, marriage equality, etc. All extremely important. Okay? I mean, we just need to pick and be focusing on the area that you are really good at. And this one is around female empowerment. By creating products and services that wouldn't exist otherwise. By hiring other women to support us in our business. By inspiring our clients to upgrade their standards and change their lives. By creating lives and businesses that are flexible so we can have the children we want, the travel we want, or just choose who we spend time with. So what does it mean? Money equals choices. And that is why I love Soul Rich Woman so much. It's my legacy business.

Genecia Alluora: I have had conversations lately that also made me think. First, someone asked me to speak to a woman's. I would say Shelter on money. Okay. I felt like I really should do it, but I felt really guilty saying no. Yeah. Now I think this is just really a worthy cause. Hugely important work. But I'm not the person to do it, because even though I speak about money, I talk about owning an F word. That does not mean I'm the right person to speak at a woman's shelter or in the prison ministry. Not good for me because I would feel helpless that I couldn't create real change in an hour and definitely not good for them. So never forget, it's okay to change the world your way. We women don't have to be everything to everyone.

Genecia Alluora: And the second conversation happened a while back. I donated a sum of money to someone who does amazing work in her community. And she said to me, I wish I could donate money like you, but all I have to give is my time. Well, this really breaks my heart. I was just thinking the opposite. I wish I could have such a big heart like you to help out directly, but all I have to give is my money. So both of us had this guilty feeling like it wasn't really enough, but it was perfect, because every course needs both time and money. Some people have to give both. Sometimes you have more of one than the other. So it's okay to serve in the only way you can or want to. It's okay to serve a way that's easy and enjoyable for you. It's okay to charge well for a specific thing that you do. You are enough. Okay? You don't have to be everything to everyone.

Genecia Alluora: You are enough. Either way, it doesn't say anything about you as a person, and that is key. Now, recently, I was having a discussion in my Soul Rich Woman community about having more women female speakers at conferences and also doing podcasting and why women are so reluctant to put themselves forward. So, being a speaker, being a podcaster and my response was that in my experience when I've seen women speak at male dominated events, they haven't been very well received. They are rated lower perceived to have spoken on softer topics than fellow male speakers. And I've watched them really deliver the men, not deliver a very powerful performance. And not every women, some handle it fine, others are unnerved by it.

Genecia Alluora: Now, some men just don't respect women's voices and impact and that's why I stick to largely female audiences. I feel good in the environment. Like I spoke at Rich Woman in 2019 together with Kim Kiyosaki. I mean, I don't feel like I have much to prove. I can just be who I am. And there are also people who choose their trainers and their speakers whom they want to work with. And a lot of them have a tendency to move in the direction of having male speakers. Okay? So don't be overly concerned by it, all right? The internet marketing industry can definitely be sexist. I mean, I've been virtually patted on the heat with condensation from guys. That means people, men who treat me like some small fry even though I have lots of credentials, but they treat me like okay, like mee, instead of an incredibly successful business.

Genecia Alluora: I mean, I don't know what the answer is, to be honest, but I'm happy to have made the decision to work with women only. And I know a few guys read my book and are in my mailing list about 5%. And I really want to say this, that it makes me even more passionate about how business and money can empower women to make our own choices. Especially after doing Soul Rich Woman and so many women are holding back and have resistance around women making money and being seen as a leader. Because women being seen as a leader is bossy, it's aggressive and why must you charge so much? Can you just give it to me for free? All these can be off putting, but you just need to know, you need to function in your own space and we can be everything to everybody. So I just want to thank you for making it possible for me and you to having this conversation because it's not my fight to be a female executive or a nine to five employee because those boardrooms don't interest me.

Genecia Alluora: So I applaud women like yourself, whether you're a nine to five employee or you're doing something different from what I'm doing. I just want to say I appreciate you and I acknowledge you. Remember, you don't have to be everything to everyone. Pick a part of female empowerment and focus on that. Whether is it to get more women on stage or to help women to grow their business or lobby, or legislate, or be a role model or support other people making a change you.
